Desalination
As water is an extremely valuable commodity in the Middle East, desalination plays a major role in the supply of drinking and irrigation water. PW uses reverse osmosis to convert sea water to fresh potable water. As a result of using this process, PW’s desalination plants use less energy and do not need to be constructed near to a power plant.

Sewage Treatment
Over the last decade, Membrane BioReactor (MBR) technology has become the preferred process for handling waste water. The majority of PW’s temporary plants and all permanent plants feature MBR technology, which creates a smaller footprint than conventional plants and results in better quality treated effluent that can then be recycled to provide high quality irrigation water.

Polished Water
Using a form of Reverse Osmosis, with far less pressure than that used to desalinate sea water, tertiary sewage effluent (TSE) is polished and recycled for other applications, including cooling solutions for sister company, Palm District Cooling.
